Costa Coffee

We work with Costa Coffee franchisees throughout the UK and have now designed over 500 of their coffee shops and continue to re-image their existing stores.

We act as both principal designer and also as planning consultant for all sites.  From the outset, we advise on store acquisition, through such matters as operation, number of covers, designing for the demographic and planning considerations.  Leading onto interior design, we provide a complete fit-out package suitable to build from whilst also dealing with such matters as building control, landlord consents, land registry, shopping mall and local authority building compliance.

Our planning services for Costa Coffee have ranged from new build detached units, through to changes of use, extensions and remodelling, right down to minor applications such as advertisement consents and negotiations with highways for external seating.  With an unrivalled success rate for this use class, we like to think of ourselves as one of the leading designers in this sector.

Finally, we are always thinking outside the box... sometimes leading us to design in a box, or containers to be precise!  The Costa Coffee Innovation Award recently went to Costa Crate, a coffee shop we designed within two recycled shipping containers.
